[It's the end of August - where is this year going so fast? - and for us that means the start of the consumer electronics show season, which runs from now until Bristol next February. Right now the intrepid WHFSV news team is in Berlin for the annual IFA show, next week we'll be reporting from the CEDIA show in Denver, and then its's not long until the WHFSV London show - see here for details and to book your tickets.

But we've also found time to...[/intro]

  • Bring you news of budget Blu-ray hardware on the way from Samsung and Sony
  • Tell you about new DAB radios from Pure, one of which has a built-in iPod dock
  • Show you the new Epson projectors news editor Joe Cox saw on his whistlestop tour of China, Hong Kong and Japan
  • And launch the latest of our web-exclusive competitions, giving you the chance to win a fabulous Onkyo TX-SR875 receiver. Click here for more details

Over in the forums, we have almost 3500 users signed up, and you've been discussing everything from whether power leads make a difference to choosing a CD player, and there are new sections for you to show off your system, talk about the music and movies you've been enjoying, and even suggest particularly good retailers.

Oh, and there's a new issue of What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision in the shops now. Click here for more details, or here to subscribe.
