Hi Andy,

Much obliged by this update from Sony. I have the 46W4500 and tried to implement these settings but one setting still confuses me which is "2) Setup Menu - select - Power Saving: Low or High" on my TV I have the option of Power Saving but it comes back with these sub-options "Standard Power", "Reduced Power" or "Picture Off" now which of these related to High or Low for Power Saving?

I'd play with the options and see what you prefer - i'm guessing the picture off option, however, is merely for when you're listening to Freeview radio stations and therefore don't need the visuals!

Hello all,

I was about to buy a 46W4500, after my 3 months long research for a decent Tele, untill I saw some complaints about the "backlight and clouding" problems on this screen...

Since you have bought this Tele, I would be really grateful if you could please share your own comments and review on this model.

Have the clouding problem with my 40W4500, have tried every setting, turning the backlight down has the best effect, but unfortunately in my case doesn't solve the problem, it doesn't make any difference what the lighting conditions are in the room, any dark scene will shown this bleeding. Comet have agreed to replace it, so fingers crossed the next one will be good
