Before computers and screens (and digital imagery) there was lines per inch for printing, so there was possibly a print resolution of 72 lpi, but don't quote me on that. As you probably know, the standard print resolution is 300 dpi and the job I have explaining this to Design students isn't easy. Move on I have JD.
