Just bought one this weekend and WOW! Jaw dropping sound quality and the noise cancelling earbuds work a treat. Lovely vivid screen which makes your photos and video look almost 3D! The WHF guys weren't too impressed with the browser but have to confess this isn't one of the main reasons i've bought it. File management is very 'swish' and the touch screen responsive. An excellent feature is the ability to put the touchscreen on 'hold' but still use traditional 'Walkman style' function buttons on the top of the player when its in your pocket. Software childsplay with drag and drop from iTunes etc. I'm loving it...(oh and John Lewis have an offer of £30 off until the end of July!)

Nice to someone else liking the X-Series, I've had mine for just over a month now and I'm still lovin' it.

Yeah the sound quality is splendid, if people place SQ as a priority then this is the machine to own - warm, rich, powerful and best of all (for me) a smooth treble - classic Walkman sound.

I know Lonely Boy I cant get over the clarity and depth of the 'soundstage'!! I'm rediscovering my MP3's! I thought my last player the NWZ-A816 was transparent but the 1050 just reveals things I never noticed before...KT Tunstall, The Killers, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are in the room/on the bus/in the street!! Haha! :)
