Apparently a prob with Macs, in that you couldn't close the thing once it popped up, out or whatever...

Dunno whether it should be " Rabbit season" or " Wabbit season".

Takes me back a bit that picture.

Re: duracell bunnies!!!!!!!!!

There is a thread about this in the part on the mag in the forum. I would like to add my voice to say adds that pop up as the curser crosses them are a pain, just like that hummingbird before. If we must have stuff popping out, why cant it be the babes moddeling underwear?

Must say I agree. We've asked that in future all such ads are approved by the Editor in Chief herself before being released on the site.

In typical British fashion I was just making my way to this part of the forum to complain about said bunny - after enduring him for a few days... I am gratified that I am not the only one and completely placated by this 'ere response... Whilst I understand that websites have to make money from advertising I hate these types of adverts.  Further to that sentiment I think that there is something rude about their invasive quality and have tried disabling them (in internet options, but then you lose other content) and they are usually counter productive since I am less likely to give money to the companies that bombard me with them...

Supply and demand, although I found the whole bunny thing slightly off putting at first. There is a balance to be had here, but finding that 'balance' may be harder to implement.

Re: duracell bunnies!!!!!!!!!

The batteries on my TV remote control have just gone on the blink. I will be using new ones from a company other than Duracell.

I understand they need to advertise...but EVERY page? I like to go in to the forum and open up lots of tabs from each thread I am interested in. Not surprisingly, I am interested in quite a few of them, so have quite a few tabs open...and then as I switch tabs my mouse moves over that ad each time and I am subjected to a bunny invasion on my web page.

Still, it's an interesting debate...do consumers make purchases based on subliminal advertising, brand awareness/affinity, corporate values, or is it, as in my case, the brand which has annoyed me least recently?

Re: duracell bunnies!!!!!!!!!

Adblocker (in Firefox) soon vapourised the bunny from my screen and any further adverts from the same source....one click and it was gone.
My useful(?) threads can be found here.
