I was perusing on ebay earlier this week (for a harmony one remote as it happens) & I came across a chap (or maybe a lady) selling the pioneer kuru blu-ray demo disk. I've seen this (well some of it) played in dealers premises & I must admit I really fancied it. So as the starting price was £8 I put my bid of £8.50 in. To cut a long story short once the bidding got over £15 I stopped bidding and i noticed it had risen to £20 a short while before closure. It wasnt until i got an email saying how much it had gone for that I realised just how sought after these discs are. The"lucky" bidder paid £49 for it.
To me thats silly. Thats 3 full price blockbuster films and enough change for a bag of chips.
