Quick question about Apple TV

I was planning on getting the Squeezebox Duet, but so few places seem to have it in stock. So now I'm thinking of getting Apple TV, having just got myself an iphone. And it does have the added benefit of being able to play movies.

I just want to check though - if I get the remote app on the iphone, will I be able to get the Apple TV playing music through my hifi without actually switching on the TV?

And if in the future I get one or two Airport Expresses, will I be able to control all the units with my iphone?

Thanks

Yes, that's what I do.

Yes, but you can't have different music in different zones, unless you use the hard drive of the Apple TV to play one lot of music and airport express to play another. And switching between the two on your iPhone is a faff.

Great, thanks a lot. Guess that's my mind made up. A trip to the apple store might be in order tomorrow I think.
