anderc02 Joined on Jan 15, 2008 Posts 37 Offline	Beresford Caiman DAC ; a suitable Dock Hi, I have ordered the Beresford Caiman DAC and am considering the Onkyo ND-S1 as a dock to plug into a Cyrus amp .However what connections should I use betwen them all ? ie Usb coaxial or optical ? What would give the best sound ? I am using an Apple Classic. Thanks for taking the time to resond.

Personally I would go for Optical from Dock to DAC. Not for any noticeable sonic difference but simply because the DAC has 2 of these inputs so you will still have the full range of connections available for other inputs in the future.

The DAC would connect to the Cyrus via standard phono leads.

Onkyo ND-S1 & PS3 Directly feeding AVI ADM 9.1s. Samsung LCD, Pioneer DVD-LX50 and Dell Laptop feeding the AVIs via a Beresford 7520. **Mostly cheapo cables**

Home Cinema on hold until the kids are older....
