Help Please

My laptop crashed the other day and I had to do a full system restore losing everything.  I now have an ipod full of music but no library.  When I plug the ipod into the laptop it says it is synced with another computer.  How can I get my ipod content into my new itunes library?

Easy instructions please. I'm losing the will to live.

 Thanks

I don't have direct experience of this problem but there are a few hints online.  Good luck.

Re: Help Please

I suspect there are a few on here who would be happy to come to your aid. Unfortunately, I have no experience of iTunes/iPods but many on this forum do. So I'm sure this can be sorted.
My useful(?) threads can be found here.

Re: Help Please

Ive had a very similar experience.  My laptop died on me and then while shifting some heavy boxes I crunched in the screen of my old iPod classic.  It was a 60gig model and while I was prepared to lose out on the 5/6gigs that didnt make the cut adn was on the harddrive I wasnt prepared to lose out on the 60gigs and go through another ripping of the library.

I cant remember the name of the software (sorry) but it is very easy to download and it basically decodes Apples filing system and keeps all track details and sound quality.  Basically turns it temporarilly into a portable hard drive.

So, dont worry too much you'll be able to get your tunes back nae bother with a quick google search.

Re: Help Please

Do a search for Anapod.  That's what I used in the end.  Install, plug in iPod, it sorts out the details and you copy/backup to the directory of choice.
