Could someone please explain to me why the new Arcam AV888 Processor has not appeared in any mainstream reviews. This must be the most hotly awaited product of the year after the success of the AVR600. I now see ex demo models being offered for sale yet still no reviews. What on earth is going on ?

I asked a similar question a good while back, just before release, but there still seems to be nothing forthcoming....

Still, after the buggy AV600, I'm slightly wary, to say the least...

Ex-demo,really? Where from?

If your interested Sevenoaks HiFi in Brighton are selling theirs, the snag is that you have to buy the P777 that goes with it but with a £2000 discount for your trouble !

I'd be quick though, it's the last one they're getting.......

It was more out of curiousity really,as to why there's ex-demo unit's on the market already?

I was/have been considering either AVR600 or AV888 but the bug issue's have put me of tbh.....

There shouldn't really be any demo units being sold off yet. Usually most dealers will turn their stock around every 12-18 months, maybe 24 months in some cases. An AV888 being sold off so soon either means the dealer isn't selling any so they're giving up on it, or they're no longer allowed to keep the product.
