I have been trying to find information regarding used equipment, specifically AV Amps and particularly how they compare to newer technology. As second-hand equipment plays such a large part in the upgrade route for many hi-fi enthusiasts, why doesn't the magazine do a monthly article on new versus old, by comparing say an amp worth £300 new against something you could buy for the same amount second-hand, and see how they compare across the board? I think alot of readers would be interested to see how well second hand equipment stacks up against some of the newly released models, or would that open an entirely new and endless can-of-worms?? Would love to hear what Andrew & Claire have to say, as well as the rest of you guys of course...
