Re: Engagement?!?!

The fact that you are thinking about it is a good indication....

(and if you think they will say Yes is quite important!)

If you know you just know! Don't be doing it cause someone else is hinting though. If your sure go for it you won't regret it. Remember ring must equate to at least the value of your hi-fi ;-)

When she says: "Of course you can upgrade the hi-fi." Whoops!

Seriously though, you just have a gut instinct that directs you towards the jewellers. I proposed to my OH at Gatwick Airport. She had been away for a skying holiday, and enough is enough AFAIWC.

Good luck, PP

I think she deserves it after all the demo's of new kit she's come to with me lol.

I have become very concious of jewellers and what rings I think would be perfect for her!

Thanks :)

Re: Engagement?!?!

As long as she doesn't know how much the hi-fi cost your cool. Everything I buy was "just a couple of hundred" in a very vague manner.

I can thoroughly recommend blue nile dot com for the ring. Get about 30-40% more rock for ur cash as opposed to a jewellers. Fantastic service too.

Re: Engagement?!?!

Sorry didn't explain myself properly there. You design ur own setting, don't use one of the standard ones. If you don't like I'd still consider buying the diamond from them (or another reputable online diamond merchant)  and getting it set over here. Mark up is outrageous in a walk in jewellers in britain.
