quality movie, not so quality transfer.....

Stick with the DVD. When will these comapnies remaster all films from the originals???!!! Rather than remastering from the dvd or even VHS!!!

Not always, as the originals can be damaged, or even lost!! 

Just means that when remastering from the originals they can clean up every single frame (very long process i imagine)

The Film its a Wonderful Life and North by Northwest are perfect examples of the remastering process

35 mm film are perfect for remastering from, but 16  mm film stock is a lot harder to use apparantly

Saying that thorugh I own a copy of the remastered Street Trash DVD and that looks amazing!!! A low budget 80's classic. Nort sure what Lens size was used for that film
