Well she did mention something briefly about 6 months ago that she was bored of watching tv. But nothing changed. Guess thats why it came to this. Yeah she bought the dog back. he is with me this week. I loved clubbing in my early teens and early 20s and when i was single, but now i hate it!  I enjoy a nice pub, who doesnt.

I have lots of things planned for us to do, taking a course together like cooking or somthing. im gonna take up martial arts which she would also enjoy. Gonna go play some sport together in evening like badminton or squash. Your right, there is alot cheaper things to do in the summer. We have a dog so going for nice walks would be good. Shame its gonna get dark soon. Even doing the most little obvious things will make a difference. Instead of staying in when we want a takeaway...get out and go to the restaurant.

She did actually mention the cinema. We wanted to go and see inglorious bastards when it first came out, and she made the point we still havent even bothered to go see that. Anyway i am gonna go get ready because im off to the pub. No work tomorrow for the first time in a long time.

Are these three items connected in any way and why would anyone want more than one canoe?

Rofl, I just noticed he put 'some' canoes. Perhaps they are for faking your own death off the north east coast like that guy did a few years ago!

She'll probably say something like.. "It's not your fault, it's me."

And this will probably be true.*

I predict at least one more 'reconcilliation' (Christmas is coming) before she finally lets go of your strings. Even after all that, she will try and shaft your next relationship if you meet someone new in the near future. ('Dog in the manger' syndrome. Look it up. Aesop knew a thing or two.)

*As someone who has been with same partner since 1981 (and friends at school from age 11 before that) please take my comment with a big shovel full of salt, but I have seen your situation played out with so many young colleagues that I could almost write the dialogue by now. (Also we have 17 and 24 year old daughters so have a bit of insight into their Machiavellian machinations.)

You seem like the classic 'nice-guy' so don't let all this change you. Bitterness is very unattractive. You will find someone who appreciates what you are and dreams of cosy nights in with the telly.

great thread , just make sure and keep active mate , go to martial arts , to colledge , believe in yourself , this will make you stronger , soon when you listen to music you will be buzzing within yourself , youve had some invaluable relationship experience , get out with your mates now and chase them babes , have some fun , when you meet a girl you like , dont let her in too soon , girls love mystery , keep her on her toes , your the man

p.s. forget eastenders and movies ....at least while shes there , you can catch up on i player when shes asleep ,, sshhh.
