Audio Affair

Anyone had any dealings with Audio Affair, based in Birmingham I think. I ordered a speaker on 28/0/09 and received an email on the 29/01 stating that it woas due to ship that day and would reach me the next day. I never received the order and then managed to speak to a rep on Monday who said that it was being shipped direct from Mission who had been closed The previous Friday and that Monday. I was advised that it would ship Tuesday for next day delivery. Still haven't received my order and can't contact anyone by phone despite leaving messages. I've also left 2 emails and received no response either.


Any one bought anything from these guys??

Well, if it's being shipped direct, you could call Mission and find out what it knows about your order

Called Mission as you suggested and they have no record of any order in my name made by this shop despite the particular item being in stock at Mission.


I have left another telephone message and another email asking them to clarify why my order hasn't been placed. My credit card was debited over a week ago for the full amount.

 I would cancel the order,at least if it goes wrong you can recover your money from your credit card company.

Well, I had a much better experience with them. Did an internet order of the discontinued Roksan Kandy III amp and CD, for a keen price of £780. Had a problem with my internet connection, and ended up with 3rd orders placed, which was Saturday evening. Emailed them, and on Sunday they replied to tell me that they had cancelled the duplicate orders and that the kit would ship on Monday morning. Emailed me again Monday to confirm shipping, and kit was delivered Tuesday afternoon. Very pleased.

OP, did you get your problem sorted out?

Well...no! still haven't received my order from Audio Affair! Phoned them 3 times now and at have at least managed to talk to some guy......who seems to tell me something different every time I call. I've given him until next Tuesday to deliver or I'll cancel my order. I will not be using them again. Customer service has been non existant.

I have sent them a final email stating that if i don't receive the order by Wednesday of next week then I will cancel the order and that I expect a full and immediate refund. I will never use them again.

This thread has me rather worried. I visited the Audio Affair shop in Birmingham on Saturday 7th Feb and ordered some Nordost cables. I was promised delivery by the middle of last week but so far nothing. I spoke to them on Friday and was told that there was a delay in getting the order from the supplier and that I should now expect delivery by the middle of next week. Having subsequently read this thread I am troubled that I may never see my cables. I will of course post an update if and when I have further news. In the meantime, I would not recommend this company to anybody.

I received another email from Audio Affair saying that my order status had changed from 'processing' to 'shipped'. I remain sceptical as this is the second or third similar email that I've received (not to mention the phone calls). If it does arrive I'll update you....meanwhile I think I may send another email to the company with a URL to this particular site and thread.

I ordered some Partington stnads last week and they havent been delivered as of yet!


Not happy; spoke to someone there yesterday and he said that they are awaiting on them from the factory!


I had a feeling on Friday i should have gone somewhere else!

Well got another email from them last night re my Partington stands to say that the courier has 'returned' a set of damaged stands that they had apparently sent back to the factory which means i'll have to wait another week probably to get them.


Very unhappy with the service and poor excuses if you ask me so i'm going to be on the phone to them this morning getting my £££ back.


Not good service at all and i'll be telling them that as well!

Can understand the odd glitch, but a bit of a patten seems to be emerging on this retailer by what I'm reading.

Certainly I would speak to my Credit Card company and get them involved if orders are not being met.

I've learnt to steer well clear of this shop.


I ordered a set of Atacama gel pads 4 months ago (paying via paypal) and I'm still waiting.  They tell me they've shipped them twice but no joy.


Can't get a refund from them or Paypal.
