You could delete those Tony Bennet albums. And I have a lot of artists under S too. What's the solution for that?

Would you believe it! I've just been looking at upgrading my foobar UPnP media server and I've noticed that one of the "bug" fixes incorporate errors into the tagging data i.e. inaccurately rendering, and I quote, "The Beatles" => "Beatles, The".

See here. The offending "fix" is listed under version 0.99.6

Looks like this is going to be another hobby horse for the stable. It seems to be getting more and more crowded the older I get.
