True HD audio through old AV receiver!

True HD audio through old AV receiver!

I have a 14 years old onkyo THX certified 7.1 no HDMI only analogue. I want buy a blue ray player to match my 50in full HD plasma can i have true HD audio through the analogue audio of my receiver?

Depending on budget, the pana BD80 would be the best as it has a 7.1 channel output.

The Pioneer bd-51FD would be a good choice.  It also has 7.1 analogue outputs.
