Am i crazy using a Lehmann Audio Black Cube Headphone amp with a pair of Grado SR60's?

I love the sound my Grado's makes with the Lehmann Audio Black Cube my source is a Sneaky DS, but is my set-up overkill? i read whathifi's review of the Lehmann and it states that headphonws £300 and above should be used! I tried the Grado RS1i's and i did not think they warrented the jump in price so i kept my SR60's ( i bought the lehmann black cube  for the rs1i's in the first place !)

This is the second time today I have linked to PJPros post on the RS1s  http://community.whathifi.com/forums/t/325890.aspx . Just like you he feels that there is not much of a jump, in his case from the SR80s. Yet when I first auditioned headphones the SR60s were the first be ditched as I heard a good sized jump to the SR80s, more of everything.

You have a source and amp I can only aspire to. Even though you are happy with the SR60s, you have got to find a way to try other headphones and see if you hear an improvement. The AKG K701/2s and the Sennheiser HD650s spring to mind.

i'd say the SR60's are probably the best value grado's you can get, imo anyway.

You're not crazy if you're enjoying listening.  Later on you might want to buy better headphones, so at least you'll have a good amp to use them with.
