Cyrus - Can Someone Explain?

Why the DAC-X has XLR outputs, the Mono-X power amps have XLR inputs, but the box in the middle, the Pre-VS2 has neither XLR inputs nor XLR outputs?

I'm confused....

Re: Cyrus - Can Someone Explain?

I have heard (purple monkey dishwasher) kidding aside that they really are not a true balanced system anyhow. XLR I think is really over rated, I could be wrong but if you dont have noise coming through then how much quieter can it get? I dont know I have mixed and matched found no difference saved the money and stayed with RCA'S. Peter explained once how XLR and RCA worked and said there is no advantage to XLR.

Re: Cyrus - Can Someone Explain?

I thought Cyrus' intention was that the MonoX amps are used with the DAC XP, all balanced.
