Using a NAS with a Playstation 3

In your latest magazine it says you can use your NAS device with your PS3. I have a buffalo device but can't seem to get the PS3 to find it when I scan for devices...

You need to have server software running. Twonky, TVersity, WMP11, etc...

Remember that a Naim DVD5 playing standard def at 576P is better than a PS3 playing BluRay. Check the HomeCinema section.

I think you should be careful bandying this statement around considering you took it from a thread where Andrew Everard himself states this is not what he said and also knowing you haven't seen this setup as in that same thread you stated you'd bought a Naim DVD5 player based on this fact alone. Did you actually see Andrew's reply to this:

Andrew Everard:

Without listening to/viewing it? Not a very smart move, in my opinion.

And i have to reiterate I didn't say it was better, just that no Blu-ray Disc player I've seen so far has tempted me to give up the DVD5 for BD.

Now, I haven't seen the Naim DVD5 so I can't say it's not true, but you're misquoting information and your statement above may well therefore not be true.

I'm sure it's a great DVD player since Andrew recommends it, so if you wanted a DVD player rather than a Blu-Ray player, I'm sure it'll be fine. I'd just be a little more careful and do a little research before rushing off to spend your money!
