I still watch LaserDiscs as there are many titles I have that are still not available on BluRay/DVD.
Started collecting from the late 70's and my last film was GOLDENEYE.
Refreshing to watch a film without any obvious compression artifacts!
Still remember the thrill of receiving my discs from USA and being the one of the first to screen the movie in widescren and AC3 surround sound, had many a boozy "boys night" courtesy of my trusty Pioneer player.
In fact, i dusted off the two Star Wars Collector's Edition LaserDisc box sets a few weeks ago when I was re-arranging my audio rack, ahh, the memories!
Several hundred discs and not one with the dreaded laser rot!
I even collected VHD discs (the ones that used a stylus, system made by JVC) but I gave them away ages ago.
