Anyone recommend a good external network hard drive?

I'm looking to get a new external hard drive that can connect to my router by ethernet cable.

I will use it to store all my apple lossless files which will then be streamed from Itunes to 3 different airport express units, controlled by the remote function from an IPhone when I get it soon. My laptop is switched on all the time so I'm just looking for a basic hard drive.

Does anyone run this type of system and have a recommendation of a good hard drive where response times are favourable etc?

I use a Buffalo Terastation. It does exactly what you want.

And I a Freecom 500gig drive, which was a faff to set up, but after that was fine.

Re: Anyone recommend a good external network hard drive?

Thanks for the replies folks. I'm not that IT literate so a bit worried about ease of set up now!

One final question - are the music files still quick to access from I Tunes in such a setup John?

I've currently got my music stored on a USB powered hard drive which needs to follow my laptop around the house and is a bit of a pain. Would moving to this new type of set up with centralised storage on the network slow down access to the files?

Thanks

I set the buffer on Itunes to a bit bigger than standard and it works absolutely fine.
