I have a Philips 42PFL9664.
I have set the network up - it can 'Browse NetTV' but it won't 'Browse PC'.
The
PC recognises that the TV is accessing the computer through Windows
Media Connect, verified by the MAC code of the TV (does Windows Media
Connect need to be running, it is anyway?)
The files are set to 'share'.
When I chose the 'Browse PC' option the TV displays...
"switch on your computer and start the media server application.
the TV continuously checks if a media server programme is running."
...and then does nothing.
I am assuming that "the media server application" is Windows Media Connect (?).
Have
had a mate who is excellent with computers look at it but he can't
figure it out (he has been able to fix everything in the past and knows
what he is doing)
