Speaker cable

I am looking to improve upon my current Audioquest Type4 speaker cables
which are now over 10 years old. I am considering the Straightwire
Symphony cables which I heard at a dealer. They sounded very smooth and
detailed without any rough edges. Has anyone had any experience with
this cable? Rest of system is Nad 545BEE cdp, Marantz SR5600 receiver,
Rotel RB980BX power amp driving a pair of MA Silver6's. Any advice
would be very welcome.

Re: Speaker cable

What was the system at the dealers? Different gear, different room... how did you hear the speaker cables and did the dealer allow you to hear the same setup with a different speaker cable?
Sony PS-6750 • Goldring Eroica / Shure V15/III / Philips 412 • Trichord Dino+
Marantz PM66SE KI amp / Audio Innovations Alto amp • Sony CDP-591 CDP • Nakamichi DR3 tape deck
Ruark Crusader II and JPW Sonata loudspeakers

I understand that the sound I heard at the dealer's will be quite different from the sound of my system, different gear, different room etc. I managed to persuade the dealer to lend me the cables for a week so that I could compare it to my Audioquest T4. What struck me on a first listen was the sense of quietness, no background noise, just music. Could this be attributed to the better shielding of the Straightwire cables? From top to bottom everything now sounds more coherent and lifelike. I am very impressed with this cable so far.
