Hi,

I’ve got Dali Lektor 2 playing with CD receiver Yamaha Pianocraft.

Currently I am looking for an upgrade of my system in terms of sound quality. I listen to radio 90 % and cd 10 %.

I did not find in internet many reviews of stereo receivers. So I decided to ask this community, as hi-fi community in my country did not provide me with any valuable advice.

Among other stereo-receivers, I have selected

- Marantz 5023

- NAD 725 (which is around 60% more expensive than Marantz).

Is that true, that in terms of sound a Receiver is close to an Amplifier of the same manufacture. (for example, Marantz 5023 and Marantz 5003 (or 6002)). I searched this forum and people say, Lektors’ would pair PM6002 excellent.

Would these receivers sound worth than amp+tuner?

when I was ''collecting'' my system I had the same question and actually still don't know the answer :)

Anyway If You have the chance to audition one/both of them and compare with stereo amp that's the way to find out!
