42 inch budget tvs

can somone please give me some help im looking for new tv and are stuck between the panasonic tx p42s10 or the LG 42lh500 i would like something thats good for ps3 gaming and i have sky hd and watch alot of films blue ray and dvd im torn between the two any and all advise will help many thanks david   ps something thats good at standard def aswell my budget 800 pound cheers

The LG 42LH5000 is our Best Buy budget 42in TV in this year's Awards, so I'd go for that. You should be able to find it for around £700, so it's well within your budget.

i have the panasonic th 37px60b would the lg be better on every level inc sound and does the lg have a wide viewing angle as it would be in corner of room viewed from all angles much thanks for your help

the panasonic 42g10 is only £715 at richer sounds , no viewing angle issues with that , freesat as a bonus too ..

has the lg tv got a good viewing angle as going in corner of room and will be viewed from all angles please help many thanks

I realise its a pain when somebody offers another TV option, but if you really mean buget then get the HD ready Panny 42" and save more money. Also in a straight choice with SD ( HD ready) and a more natural picture get the Panny.


If you really want to get Full HD ( on a 42'' inch? ) still get the plasma option.  LCD is stil the less 'natural' picture option, and  the response time still isn't up there against the plasma for gaming.
