Lower volume with Sky through home cinema

Does anybody else have the same problem with lower volume levels when watching Sky and playing it through a home cinema system?

The loudest volume I get is watching blu ray or dvd's then terrestial with sound through home cinema with Sky coming in a poor third.

Connection from Sky HD box to the home cinema is via an optical digital lead and the same with the TV.

It is not uncommon for different sources to have different input levels. Your home cinema amp probably has a setting where you can increase/decrease the volume for each input to resolve this problem

Hi

I have the same order of play: 1. Bluray player - sound through HDMI; TV - sound through digital optical lead and last Sky HD - sound through digital optical lead.

I wouldn't say that the Sky was overly low volumed just obviusly lower than the rest. Have you tried a different digital cable??

I have a similar issue in that playing blurays on the PS3 the sound is so much lower than when playing games using the same set up.
