Denon 1910/2310....Is it worth the £250 extra?

Hey guys

Im looking at these two AV's as the denon 1910 which ,is £450 while the 2310 is £699. Is this amp worth the extra £250, as i know they both got great reviews but is the difference that noticable. As im planinning to get the new Q acoustics 2000 series for either one of these AV's.

If your going to use it for 2 channel stereo (cd player) too, then yes......

I demo'd both, and the 2310 was, in mine and the wife's opinion, worth the extra for the deeper bass, clarity and detail added to the music that the 1910 just didn't have, by comparison......

Denon 2310 has not less than seven S-Video inputs. 1910 has ... none. It was critical for me. Best wishes.

The 2310 is about the best amp at the £1k mark currently, and is superior to the 1910 in many respects. At the price you've been quoted, it is a no-brainer!

Cheer for the reply's guys, But will the Q acoustics be enough for the Denon 2310 or do i need to invest in some better speakers?

Have a look at my kit list below.........

Seriously...the Q Acoustics sound great with this receiver......much better than with my old onkyo 606....

If you have £1200 to spare, I'm sure the B&W 685 package will be even better.....and if you have £2200, the Monitor Audio's will, no doubt, be another step up...etc.

Either buy a cheaper package now and upgrade in a few years, or start saving up.......

All AV amps are compromises. The more you spend, generally the less compromised it is. For a good speakre package, the 2310 will definitely be beneficial. Also take a look at the Monitor Audio Vector range and also the Bronze range as alternatives to the Q's. You may even still get hold of the odd bits of Monitor Audio RS series, which will be a huge step up over them all.
