I have a DAC which has a tube output and a transistor output. I like the sound of the tube output more for voices, acoustic guitars and subtle or classical music that rely for the most part on the midrange. But i like the transistor output more for the dynamic ability and energy in the outer frequencies with pop/rock. The differences are very subtle though but still they are.
Would it be mad to use an RCA 2-way splitter for both outputs on the DAC to a 1-way RCA to the line input on the amp? This way both outputs outputs on the DAC should go to the source i listen to on the amp. Would this technically be ok to do? Would that bring the best of both worlds?
So if this is possible, one can actually run 2 DAC's at the same time if this person happens to have 2 but can't decide what sound of which DAC he prefers?
